How AU Decorating Ltd looks after the information you share with us.
This policy explains what we collect when you contact us through this website, why we collect it, and your rights over it. AU Decorating Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller.
When you use the chat assistant or get in touch, we collect only what you choose to give us — typically your name, phone number or email, your postcode or area, details about the job you’d like quoted, and any photos you send us of the work.
We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and arrange any work you go ahead with. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.
We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising. To run the website assistant, your messages are processed by our AI provider (Groq) to generate replies, and your enquiry is emailed to us through Resend. These providers process the information only to deliver that service. We may also contact you by phone, text, WhatsApp or email to follow up on your enquiry.
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and for our normal business and tax records, after which they are deleted.
The site uses a single essential cookie to remember your chat session. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to count visits.
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop using it. Just get in touch and we’ll sort it. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
